Motivational Talks and Workshops

Motivational Talks & Workshops

Tracy can present a motivational talk (once off) or she can present talks on different topics on a regular basis.

Talks are 60 – 90 minutes in duration.

Workshops, which cover the same material, in more detail are 3.5 hours in duration with a 30 minute tea break.

Workshops allow for more interaction, facilitation and learning through participation.

Learning is exponential in a workshop setting for most participants.

Confident people inspire confidence in others: their audience, their peers, their bosses, their customers, and their friends. And gaining the confidence of others is one of the key ways in which a self-confident person finds success.   The good news is that self-confidence really can be learned and built on and it’s well-worth the effort.

“Your audacious life goals are fabulous. We’re proud of you for having them. But it’s possible that those goals are designed to distract you from the thing that’s really frightening you—the shift in daily habits that would mean a re–invention of how you see yourself.” —Seth Godin

Almost every habit that you have — good or bad — is the result of many small decisions over time. And if this is true, if the problems you’re facing now are the result of thousands of small decisions made over the course of years, then wouldn’t it make sense that path to success, health, strength, joy, fulfillment, meaning, and vitality would also be through thousands of daily decisions?

Communication plays a central role in our relationships. Often it’s not so much what we say, but rather how we say it that leads to problems. We spend about ninety percent of our time communicating in some way with other people. However, we’re not always successful in getting our message across. When we don’t send and receive clear messages, communication breaks down. When communication breaks down, we’re sometimes left feeling frustrated, confused, and angry.

This talk will show you what the components of good communication are, different communication styles, examples of communication roadblocks and how to equip yourself with the skills to improve communication both personally and in the work environment.

Talk or Workshop

Great leaders understand the value of showing appreciation to those whom they are leading. They realize, by building a culture where all team members feel valued and actively support one another, the goals of the organization will be reached more efficiently and not at the expense of wearing out all who are involved.

Appreciation focuses on performance plus the character qualities of the team member and their intrinsic value as a person. As a result, team members can be valued and receive appreciation even when they don’t perform well.

What is stress? what are the different causes of stress? What are some of the signs of stress?

This Talk or Workshop will help you identify what your stress triggers are and how to develop emotional resilience to cope better in stressful situations.

We live in a society that loves busyness, achievement, qualifications, status and success.

Many people work themselves extremely hard to get there – ignoring what their bodies and minds are telling them.  But what’s the point of success and a great career, if you are always stressed, overwhelmed and don’t see much of your family and friends (or are grumpy and tired when you do see them)? Sadly life balance and self-care often are seen as ‘soft’ requirements – something high achievers don’t (or shouldn’t) need.

This is a well crafted Talk that will help you assess your work-life balance, identify your priorities and take steps to get your balance back again.

We are all prone to feelings of frustration, myopia or boredom when we have been in the same job, career or position for a while – it’s where most of us spend our prime years and the bulk of our time.

People who enjoy their work are usually good at making a distinction between themselves and the RESULTS of their work. This brings a detachment that allows for enjoyment of work independent of circumstances. If you don’t maintain this distinction, your enjoyment will always be dependent on whether or not things are going ‘well’.

In order to make changes in your current job or career it helps to understand what you enjoy, and what you don’t enjoy in your current work. From this vantage point, you are now in a position to make the necessary shifts, even if those shifts are just a change in outlook or perspective.

Many people want to have healthy ordered lives, but they are unsure about when it is appropriate to say no and to set limits.  They want to have good relationships, an ordered life and grow spiritually, but they often find it difficult to take ownership of their choices, their freedom and their responsibilities.  This is often because of a lack of boundaries.

Healthy relationships and an ordered life depend on maintaining Godly personal boundaries, but many people don’t know where to start. This program will present a biblical view of healthy boundaries.  The goal of this workshop is to help you learn to set healthy boundaries appropriately in order to experience the relationships and purposes that God intends for you within His demarcated boundaries for your life.
