This talk explores, not only the common signs and symptoms of addiction, but also the underlying mechanisms that keep us repeating the same self-destructive patterns over and over.
Navigating Recovery
The old adage of “once an addict, always an addict” is simply not true. Recovery is fully possible and achievable, for all people, no matter how irreconcilable our situation may seem. “Your audacious life goals are fabulous. We’re proud of you for having them. But it’s possible that those goals are designed to distract you from the thing that’s really frightening you—the shift in daily habits that would mean a re–invention of how you see yourself.” —Seth Godin
Almost every habit that you have — good or bad — is the result of many small decisions over time. And if this is true, if the problems you’re facing now are the result of thousands of small decisions made over the course of years, then wouldn’t it make sense that path to success, health, strength, joy, fulfillment, meaning, and vitality would also be through thousands of daily decisions?

Communication plays a central role in our relationships. Often it’s not so much what we say, but rather how we say it that leads to problems. We spend about ninety percent of our time communicating in some way with other people. However, we’re not always successful in getting our message across. When we don’t send and receive clear messages, communication breaks down. When communication breaks down, we’re sometimes left feeling frustrated, confused, and angry.
This talk will show you what the components of good communication are, different communication styles, examples of communication roadblocks and how to equip yourself with the skills to improve communication both personally and in the work environment.

Talk
We live in a society that loves busyness, achievement, qualifications, status and success.
Many people work themselves extremely hard to get there – ignoring what their bodies and minds are telling them. But what’s the point of success and a great career, if you are always stressed, overwhelmed and don’t see much of your family and friends (or are grumpy and tired when you do see them)? Sadly life balance and self-care often are seen as ‘soft’ requirements – something high achievers don’t (or shouldn’t) need.
This is a well crafted Talk that will help you assess your work-life balance, identify your priorities and take steps to get your balance back again.
Workshop
Many people want to have healthy ordered lives, but they are unsure about when it is appropriate to say no and to set limits. They want to have good relationships, an ordered life and grow spiritually, but they often find it difficult to take ownership of their choices, their freedom and their responsibilities. This is often because of a lack of boundaries.
Healthy relationships and an ordered life depend on maintaining healthy personal boundaries, but many people don’t know where to start. This talk will present a practical view of healthy boundaries. The goal of this workshop/talk is to help you learn to set healthy boundaries appropriately in order to experience the relationships and purposes that you were designed to enjoy.
